W2

W2

Some of our productions are initiated entirely from Weld and through collaborations with associated artists and various organizations or with the choreographer and artistic director Anna Koch. This format, W2, includes both pure collaborations and guest performances, or to commission/program for external contexts, often in the theatre or art room.

Artists associated with W2 include: Rosalind Goldberg, Anne-Mareike Hess, Frédéric Gies, Dinis Machado, Anna Pehrsson,  Robin Dingemans, Marie Fahlin, Pontus Pettersson, Nefeli Oikonomou, Sebastian Lingserus, Caroline Byström, Thiago Granato, Sybrig Dokter among others.

Projects made in the framework W2 include amongst others:

Open talks (2021-ongoing)
Ten Day Festival (2020)
Inventory (2019-20)
Talking & Props (2016-20)
Almost out of Sight (2011-12)
Global capital, post-media art (lecture series 2012)

You can read about all the projects we have realized in our archive.

Bibylon (2023)
is a mobile library of children’s books in 67 languages created by artist and linguist Thierry Mortier and produced in collaboration with Weld with support from the Swedish Arts Council. In spring 2023, the artwork Bibylon was shown publicly for the first time at the World Summit on Arts and Culture 2023 in Stockholm and exhibited here at Weld. Now a tour of Sweden awaits the artwork. Read more at bibylon.se
