May 12–14. Figuren / Hugo Hedberg
Figuren is a performance about the ambiguous desire to transform into a figure. Through singing and movement the piece explores transformation and longing.
In a park in Stockholm a figure moves, curious and confused and new to its surroundings. It yawns and groans as it drags its heavy feet through the green grass. Protected by foam, the figure meets its surroundings with a longing to be free. Through ballads about acceptance, hubris and ambivalence, the figure guides us on a sonic journey away from the everyday.
