Weld Extended is a continuation of our company work, and it takes on a slightly different form each time it takes place. Here, we engage in both shorter and longer choreographic processes, featuring open rehearsals or performances in both small and large formats. This fall, we have invited Polish choreographer Anna Nowicka to work with five dance artists. This process explores the body’s inner landscape, where sensations, images, and memories take shape as movement. A collaborative choreographic process that both discovers and creates material from within the lived experiences of the body.

In the Weld Extended project, dance artists are invited to collaborate with Swedish and international choreographers in curious and exploratory processes. The invitation to the choreographer involves sharing their practice, revisiting older material, or exploring new territory. For the dancers, this provides an opportunity to experience new methods and aesthetics, to be enriched and challenged, and to meet colleagues they may never have worked with before.

During Anna Nowicka’s visit, she will also perform her solo piece Uvula on November 14 and 15.
