Marie Fahlin (SE)
is a choreographer, educated at the School for New Dance Development, Amsterdam. In her own work and in collaboration with other artists, she works with choreographic transpositions between different materials and media. In 2021, Fahlin defended her dissertation Moving through Choreography – Curating Choreography as an Artistic Practice at Stockholm University of the Arts and is now a PhD in choreography. Fahlin also works as a dancer in Weld Company and has driven and participated in several artistic research and development projects. At the Royal Academy of Arts, she ran the project Unheimliche Verbindungen with Filippa Arrias and participated in Music in Movement (Stefan Östersjö, Swedish Research Council). She has curated a number of festivals and choreographic projects through Koreografiska Konstitutet at Moderna Museet, the Royal Opera’s rotunda, Weld and Bonnier’s art gallery among other places.
