June 19+20. Round and Revisit / Jade Stenhuijs & Dinis Machado

Weld c/o Hägerstensåsens Medborgarhus

A final premiere before the summer holidays is Round and Revisit by dance artists and movement talents Jade Stenhuijs (NL/SE) and Dinis Machado (PT/SE). A new collaboration in which they reformulate, question, invite, encourage and address each other in a mutual and tender making through what they describe as ‘A danced and voiced machinery of dreaming and moving together. A cooperative duo.”

We are giving each other company and writing the piece in real time.
We are making the linear scribbly, unchronological, blurry.
We write and rewrite to see the friction between occurrences: a different clarity leaning into the unfamiliar.

A proposal towards a softer constructive doing that is puzzling, permeable, dermic.

The pleasure and empowerment of doing things together:
accompanying,
reformulating,
questioning,
inviting,
encouraging
and  addressing each other,
as processes of feeding and nurturing more profane and contaminated complexities.

A danced and voiced machinery of dreaming and moving together.

a cooperative duo.

JADE STENHUIJS (NL/SE)
is currently based in Stockholm and works as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. A few years ago she created her own work Don’t Mind Me in Härnösands Konsthall and now she continues the choreographic investigation.

DINIS MACHADO (PT/SE)
has been working as a choreographer since 2007. With a training in dance and visual arts, her work develops from the intersection of these two fields: where the concrete gesture of plastic construction of objects, spaces and bodies is recycled and processed as choreographic material

A production by Weld co-produced in residence and performed at Hägerstensåsens Medborgarhus.
