Nov 8. Open Corners Stage Lab
Eight friends and previous classmates are coming together five months after graduating as dancers, trying to see what opens up beyond the nourishing corners of the school. They will be sharing through dancing what is touching them right now, what excites them and what scares them in this transitional dance-life moment.
Planting seeds for own and accompanied practices, sharing beginnings, revisiting old favorites, jumping into completely new, searching for routines, asking too many questions at once – we all have different ways of navigating transitions.
What if we do a solo in these corners?
What if we duet with interruptions?
What if we just list, list and list, pile it up in our heads?
What if we release this heavy head weight and just let the body follow?
The event will be followed by a series of written interviews about life after graduation, the in-between, about keeping up with the dancerness.
Working group: Philippa Felländer-Tsai, Nellie Björklund, Nelia Naumanen, Mira Jochimsen, Kacper Migas, Joanna Kerkelä, Brina Dokl, Bartek Mikuła.
