Satin Stitch by Marie Fahlin
In a residency at Weld in autumn 2009, choreographer Marie Fahlin focused on deeping her collaboration with five dancers: Rebecca Chentinell, Fanny Kivimäki, Siri Lepp, Greta von Rosen Stövind and Anna Suatan and further developing her choreographic language. In Satin Stitch, Fahlin takes a special interest in the evanescence of the choreographic form, examining nuances, repetition, variations and the perception of movement through thin, ethereal and embellished form. This work is the second part of a three-part suite.
