TIMELESS is a solo dance work that explores the embodied experience of time—how memory, aging, desire and anticipation leave traces in the body. Rather than asking what time is, the work asks how time is lived, remembered and felt.
The performance moves between intensity and stillness, endurance and surrender, allowing memories to emerge and dissolve as the body glows, resists, repeats and
transforms. Light, sound and movement create a shifting landscape where past and present continuously overlap, inviting the audience into changing states of perception.
Instead of mastering time, the choreography follows its shifting rhythms, revealing how experience settles into breath, sensation and memory. TIMELESS is both a celebration of impermanence and a quiet act of resistance to cultures of speed and over-productivity. It proposes another way of inhabiting duration—where moments stretch, fold and linger, and where infinity can be found in the smallest gestures. At the heart of the work lies the body—not as something that simply moves through time, but as something that carries it. Time becomes tangible through movement, continually reshaping how we perceive ourselves and one another.
TIMELESS is the third chapter of Nefeli Oikonomou’s choreographic trilogy, following The Art of Laboring (2018) and Weavers (2022). While the previous works explored labour, identity and social structures, TIMELESS turns towards the intimate relationship between body and time, asking how experiences accumulate, continue to transform, and resonate long after the moment has passed.

Nefeli Oikonomou (Undine) (GR/SE)
pursues a diverse artistic practice and advocates for the development of dance as a contemporary and expanded field. Through poetic, embodied investigations, she creates choreographic works while actively expanding the possibilities of what dance can be. Her work approaches the body as a changing archive, where memory, experience and transformation open up new layers of movement, perception and presence.
She has created works including Weavers, Punks Not Dead, The Art of Laboring, Rhymes of Pleasure and CFT, which have been presented at theatres and artistic platforms both locally and internationally, as well as in installation formats, including at the Royal Armoury (Livrustkammaren). As a curator, she created the festival In an Act of Weaving, which began with dance performances, installations, video works, workshops and choreographic interventions, and later continued through podcasts and a book publication. This is the third festival she has curated, following Practising Transitions Festival (2016) and Rhymes mini festival (2017). Together, these festivals have brought artists together through performances, open discussions, exhibitions, film screenings and workshops. In 2023, together with Sebastian Lingserius, she co-founded SAND Dansstudio, an artist-driven platform that promotes alternative approaches to dance, choreography, performance and related artistic practices.
