EFVA LILJA
Efva Lilja is an artist, working with performances, visual art, film and writing. She has profiled itself in the highly acclaimed and distinctive works. From 1985 to 2005 she was Artistic Director of the E.L.D. Company based in Stockholm, producing work in more then 35 countries around the world. She has been decorated and received a number of prizes and awards for her artwork. Since 2003 she has, parallel to her artistic work, been Professor of Choreography and 2006-2013 the Vice-Chancellor of DOCH, the University of Dance and Circus in Stockholm. 2014 she was the Expert Advisor on artistic research at the Ministry of Education and Research in Sweden and 2016 she is the Director of Dansehallerne in Copenhagen.
Alongside these missions she continued as an artist. Efva Lilja also writes articles and books published nationally and internationally.
Efva Liljas books have been published by Ellerströms since 2012 : "100 Exercises for a Choreographer and other Survivors” (2012) and "On Dance as a Subversive Declaration of Love" (2012).

Magazine-launch: CHOREOGRAPHY (NO)
Choreography is a magazine initiated and edited by the Oslo-based choreographers Solveig Styve Holte, Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness and writer Runa Borch Skolseg. The magazine consists of texts written by Nordic artists within the field of dance and choreography. Each text is build around a specific issue requested by the editors, there are independent texts as well as conversations and interviews. All texts exist in both Scandinavian and English versions. With the magazine we wish to build a rich and complex understanding of what choreography is and can be. We have curated the texts we`ve been missing and the conversations we have dreamt of reading.
