Slowfall by Måretn Spångberg, 6 nov-15 nov
A room appears, open and friendly, in all its simplicity. A room in which silence affects you. Lying down, closing your eyes, listening. Eyes are shut and then opened again. Spångberg is engaged. He is affectionate. The shifts between him meditating and drawing feel good. Shifts that you can use to reach further into the work or to sink deeper into your own fantasies. – Sabina Holzer on Slowfall at www.Corpusweb.net
Slowfall is a piece of magic without any surprises. The latest work for the stage by Mårten Spångberg emanates from the human condition – the self, our realities, our dreams. Slowfall wants to call on your innermost being.
Through a series of dance performances Slowfall examines the relationship between chakra-energy, drawing and dance. Energy fields pulsate while a series of overlapping drawings and actions form a woolly storyboard. This way the viewer’s own imagination can be animated and stand as the unit of measure for experiences and objects.
